We visited the zoo the other day...it was cold but fun.

Bowling

We went bowling on thanksgiving with Tudor and the Petermans over thanksgiving weekend. The kiddos had a great time! And there was mannys on tap for the adults :)

Christmas tree

We got our tree yesterday. The nice tree lot at st Al's in Ballard worked out well again this year. Parker got a big kick out of the fact that there was "a tree on top of the car!"

Bye bye binky

We dropped off a bag of binkys at the toy store and picked out a new toy for each kid. It has gone surprisingly well so far!!

We are still waiting on Parker's new photos but here is a shot of Chloe for the last four years. Both Chloe and Parker thought the two year old photo of Chloe was Parker. Here is Parker next to Chloe's two year old shot.

Parker has been interested in using the potty. So far she had had some successes. Not ready for underwear yet but we will see how it goes

Chloe Swimming

Chloe has been taking swimming lessons with her friend Adelaide at the gym pool.  Her instructor is Ava and she is awesome.  Just this week Chloe has had a breakthrough!  We went swimming yesterday the day before her lesson to practice and she swam all by herself!  So then of course today she was very excited to share with Ava her new skills.  Adelaide was gone this week so it was just Chloe and Ava.

Parker will be a tiger...the same as Chloe was three years ago! We got Chloe her costume today from Fred Meyer. She will be a princess :)

6th Wedding Anniversary

RJ and I have been married for 6 years today!  Seems like yesterday we got married.  We have such fond memories of our wedding and it is fun to remember them.  We're going out next Saturday to officially celebrate but it was fun to have a mellow day with the kids today.  I was looking through the pictures from our wedding today - it was so fun to have everyone there to be part of the special day.

1st day of Kindergarten

We can't quite believe it, but Chloe had her first day of Kindergarten on Thursday.  She had half days Thursday and Friday so RJ took the days off of work so we could ease into it with her before she starts before and after school care.  The whole family dropped her off on Thursday morning - mostly exciting other than the time she had to say goodbye to us.  There were a few tears but I think once she left she was fine.  They had an assembly the first day of school, got magic play-dough and overall had a really fun time.

Once school was over, Chloe and RJ went around to run a few errands and Chloe told the worker at Barnes and Noble and Macy's "today was my first day of Kindergarten."  She is very proud.

Hopefully after this week the routine will set in and the drop offs will get a little easier.
