CT and NY

Chloe and I left Friday morning (very early, Chloe had to wake up at 4:50 am!) to get to the airport.  C.J. drove us there and we checked in and got ready to board our 7.15 am flight.  The flight over was ok - the man next to me was hogging his space and part of mine so that was irritating and he gave us a dirty look when he had to get up so we could use the restroom.  Urgh!  Then with about 45 minutes to landing Chloe said she didn't feel good and she had to use her barf bag - luckily it made it only in there.  She slept for the rest of the flight and we finally landed at JFK.  After a town car ride to CT, we made it to Stamford, CT to Courtney, Derek and Tyler's house.  They have a very cute house in a very cute neighborhood in CT.  We went out to dinner the three girls that night and then went to bed after a long day of travel.

Saturday morning we woke up, went to the park, the verizon store (my cell phone broke!), and buy, buy baby for baby supplies for Tyler.  It was a very nice day just doing normal stuff in CT.  We relaxed in the evening.

Sunday Chloe, Tyler, Courtney and I went to the Aquarium in Norwalk, CT.  So fun to see all the sea creatures - Chloe had a great time and Tyler slept the whole time :)

Sunday late afternoon Courtney drove us to Brooklyn to meet up with Jane and drop off our stuff at Katie's condo.  We had Thai food and relaxed and said bye to Courtney who headed home in a downpour of rain and bad traffic.  Katie and Conor arrived later after their flight and we all headed to bed.

Monday was Chloe and my big day in Manhattan.  We took the subway all over the city, here were the highlights:

• Subway rides
• Horse drawn carriage ride through central park
• Hanging out at FAO Schwartz - and Chloe picking out a new Barbie, a fairy for Parker and a Star Wars Character for RJ
• Walking around the city
• Checking out Rockefeller plaza - no Tina Fey sightings :(
• Seeing Grand Central Station
• Chasing pigeons in Battery Park
• Seeing the Statue of Liberty
• Taking the subway back to Brooklyn
• Me taking a nap and Chloe playing Cake Doodle in the iPad

It was a busy and fun day.  Monday night we ate with Katie, Conor, Jane and Brandon at a cute little place by their house for dinner.  

Tuesday morning we packed up and headed to JFK for the long flight home.  Chloe realized Tuesday she really missed RJ so was a bit sad about that but luckily the three phone calls to him within about an hour and a half helped before we boarded our flight.  

Another taxi ride from Seatac to Ballard and we finally made it back home.  A very, very fun trip but we are glad to be home and back to our normal schedules.
